Brother George Yarger

Brother George Yarger

  • Born and raised in the oil fields of Midland Texas.
  • Educated at Lee High School, Hardin-Simmons University, and Southwestern Seminary.
  • Spent three years on staff at Calvary Baptist serving Noodle Baptist and O’Brien Baptist as a pastor.
  • Settled in East Texas after being welcomed here at Harbor Baptist in 1996.
  • Besides preaching I love to hunt, shoot, fish, Ham Radio, Archery, Motorcycling, fitness, and Disaster Relief.
  • When I have extra time I spend it with the Texas Rangers.
  • Disaster Relief is my other great love. People are genuinely open to ministry when they finally come to a place where they need help, maybe for the first time.
  • Since the grandkids arrived an attempt is made to schedule everything around them.
